The US-China aviation market has stagnated. For the first time in years growth will have come to a halt as of March 2019. The 12-month rolling average of capacity between the two nations will have stopped growing, according to OAG data.
With the news recently that American Airlines and US Airways have started their journey towards integrating their schedules and operations as part of their long awaited merger (which officially completed on 9 December 2013) we take a look at the capacity picture for each carrier and how this has changed since last February.
