• Dubai International Airport (DXB) retains its position in March 2025 as the World’s Busiest International Airport with 5.2 million seats.
• London Heathrow Airport (LHR) is in second place with 4 million seats.
• Singapore Changi Airport has moved up to be the third busiest international airport with capacity growing by 5% compared to last year to 3.59 million seats. Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) is close behind in fourth place with 3.58 million seats, which means there are only 14k seats between the two airports.
• Hong Kong (HKG) is the airport in the top 10 busiest international airports that has had the most significant capacity increase compared to March 2024, with an increase of 15%. Hong Kong (HKG) is the sixth busiest airport this month, which is three places higher than 2024 - however in 2019 it was the third busiest international airport.
• Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) has moved up into the top 10 in tenth place and Doha Airport (DOH) has dropped out this month.

Which is Europe's Busiest Airport?

• London Heathrow Airport (LHR) remains Europe’s busiest airport in March 2025 with 4.3 million seats, a 1% increase in capacity compared to last year. Istanbul Airport (IST) is the second busiest airport in Europe with 4 million seats with capacity increasing by 5%. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) is the third busiest airport with 3.5 million seats, a 5% increase in capacity compared to March 2024.
  
  
• Continuing on from the trend last month, Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) remains the airport with the biggest increase in capacity, with an increase of 14% on March 2024. Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in recent weeks has been performing below last year’s capacity levels however this month the airport has similar capacity to last year. Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is the sixth busiest European airport in March 2025, but it was in fifth place last year and second in 2019.
