easyJet: 2025 in stats
- Capacity grew by 6% in 2024, while in 2025 the airline added 3%.
- 2025 was the second year of 10% annual growth in the number of routes operated by easyJet.
- The airline's 2025 growth is due to an expansion of international capacity by 6.1%, while domestic seats reduced by 7% because of a reduction of domestic frequency (-8%).
- The airline's multiple bases across Europe allow the low-cost carrier (LCC) to carefully develop markets, with particularly large shares of capacity at constrained airports such as London Gatwick; this positioning offers the carrier some protection from competitive pressures on key routes.
- With over 35 million seats per annum, the United Kingdom remains the single largest market for easyJet, twice as large as France and nearly three times larger than Italy.
- easyJet has an order book of 286 narrowbody aircraft which is 50% more than the number of aircraft currently in operation for the European LCC.
