Air China: 2025 in stats
- Air China reduced its domestic capacity by 3.1% in 2025 and grew its international capacity by 12.3%, with overall capacity down 0.8% on 2024.
- When compared to China Eastern and China Southern, Air China has grown far more since 2019, up 22%, whereas China Southern is up 4% and China Eastern is up 10% in seat capacity.
- The airline is expected to grow in the future given its very healthy order book of 199 aircraft
- 51% of the aircraft on order are Airbus,
- with a further 46% Comac C919s,
- the remaining 4% are Boeing aircraft, just 7 Boeing 737 Max 8s.
- Air China operates 27.7 million seats at Beijing Capital as its main hub.
