LATAM: 2025 in stats

  • The largest airline grouping in Latin America and tenth in the world, LATAM, continued to grow steadily in 2025 with an 11% increase in international capacity year-on-year.
  • This expansion notably benefited Brazil and Peru, with increases of 10% and 9%, respectively.
  • The airline has strategically boosted its capacity to the North American market by 67% in 2025 compared to pre-Covid 2019 levels, although this still only accounts for 2% of all LATAM seats so it’s at a relatively low risk to the wider operation.
  • Sao Paulo Guarulhos (GRU) remains the airline’s largest hub where LATAM holds a 53% share of all capacity.
  • With an order book of 98 new aircraft, LATAM is well-positioned for steady growth in the second half of this decade.
