Ryanair: 2025 in stats
- Ryanair operates more routes than any other airline in the world with over 5,400 airport pairs served in 2025.
- With 97% of capacity allocated to European markets and multiple bases across the continent, Ryanair adopts a strategy of opening new markets from multiple bases, rapidly building network scale in those new destinations.
- Italy remains the largest market for the low-cost airline accounting for over 46 million seats per annum, followed by Spain with nearly 39 million seats.
- Ryanair increased their share of capacity in Italy’s domestic market from 30% in 2019 to 48% in 2025 and became the largest domestic carrier in Italy in 2021.
- Given the company’s historic network foundation and market concentration, it is no surprise that three of their top five routes are from Ireland to the United Kingdom and all of its top five international routes connect those two countries.
