Highlights from this month's Skift Travel Health Index include:
- While North America saw a slight dip, all other regions maintained or improved their performance.
- Europe in particular is experiencing a strong summer travel season, driven by good weather.
- Russia experienced the most significant growth in terms of country levels and may be on track to exceed 2023 tourist arrival numbers, due in large part to strategic initiatives like the "Discover Russia" campaign and visa-waiver programs.
- Japan is experiencing a natural slowdown following the busy cherry blossom season, but travel performance in June 2024 remains 7% higher than the same period in 2023.
