Highlights from this month's Skift Travel Health Index include:
- All regions are seeing growth over April last year (with the exception of Latin America, which remains at 99% of 2023 levels).
- While growth for Latin America has slowed, it remains a popular choice for American travelers as evidenced in the growth of departures from the U.S. to Argentina, Brazil and Mexico.
- While Japan and Hong Kong experienced a slowdown over the last month, both remain 16% above 2023.
- Data points towards a strong positive consumer sentiment for travel in the coming months, with 70% of travelers planning leisure trips from 1 March to 31 May 2024.
