Despite recent challenges, Türkiye has much to offer as a destination, and a strong recovery for the travel and tourism sector in the country will help as it rebuilds following February's devastating earthquake.
With the help of OAG's Schedule Analyser data we've shone a spotlight on the current state of Türkiye's aviation industry, showing where visitors are coming from, which airlines are providing the most capacity, and which destinations are most popular.

Looking at data from the peak season of 2022, Istanbul is the most popular destination in Türkiye, with both its airports (Istanbul and Sabiha Gokcen) representing 40% of international traffic.
This year Germany remains Türkiye’s key international market, with one-way capacity in May exceeding a million seats, and total origin and destination traffic at 2.7M.
Growth markets include the UAE with capacity more than doubling since 2019, and the USA which has 63% more seats now than 4 years ago.
