Travel Data Provider’s Focus on Product Innovation and People-First Culture Helps an Industry to Recover Post-Pandemic
LONDON – August 18, 2021 – OAG, the world’s leading provider of travel data and insight, was named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the 18th Annual International Business Awards®. OAG was recognized as a Company of the Year in the medium-sized category for its organizational resilience, technological achievements and employee engagement throughout the pandemic.
The award recognized OAG’s vision and strategy to deliver richer data and provide its customers with alternative solutions when they needed them the most. OAG’s shift to a cloud data management platform enabled a roadmap of innovation for its customers with the launch of new products, such as Flight Info API, Direct and Alerts.

“Our team had the unique opportunity to help an entire industry recover during one of the industry’s greatest crises,” said Phil Callow, CEO of OAG. “During the height of the pandemic, our data took on a new importance, with airline schedules changing all but by the minute. Despite these challenges, our focus on employee empowerment and positivity enabled us to deliver stronger data, better product offerings, and richer insight to our customers navigating COVID shocks and uncertainty.”
According to the Stevie Awards judging panel, OAG “managed the pandemic well despite significant challenges and is able to continue to service the volume transactions that it has managed till date.” Another judge stated, “[The] drive towards AI modelling and data enhancements while working closely with employees to maintain the business through a difficult time are inspirational.”
Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 260 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from June through early August.
“What we’ve seen in this year’s IBA nominations is that organizations around the world, in every sector, have continued to innovate and succeed, despite the setbacks, obstacles and tragedies of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” said Stevie Awards president Maggie Gallagher. “All of this year’s Stevie Award winners are to be applauded for their persistence and their resilience.
