KEY POINTS
- The Busiest Domestic route in November 2025 remains South Korea’s Jeju International (CJU) to Seoul Gimpo (GMP) with 1.38 million seats, which has seen a 27% increase compared to November 2024, which is the fastest growing route in the top 10.
- Japan’s Sapporo New Chitose (CTS) to Tokyo Haneda (HND) is the second busiest route with 987k seats and Fukuoka (FUK) to Tokyo Haneda (HND) is in third place with 983k seats.
- Followed by Hanoi (HAN) to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) in fourth place and Jeddah (JED) to Riyadh (RUH) in fifth place, with 982k seats and 857k seats respectively.
- Australia’s busiest route, Melbourne (MEL) to Sydney (SYD) is in sixth place with 744k seats for this month.
- Mumbai (BOM) to Delhi (DEL) is in seventh place with 666k seats and Tokyo Haneda (HND) – Okinawa Naha (OKA) is in eighth place with 664k seats.
- The top 10 is completed by two Chinese routes, Shanghai Hongqiao (SHA) to Shenzhen (SZX) in nineth with 654k seats and Beijing (PEK) to Shanghai Hongqiao (SHA) in tenth with 640k seats.

CHINA'S TOP 10 BUSIEST DOMESTIC AIRLINE ROUTES | november 2025
KEY POINTS
- Shanghai Hongqiao (SHA) to Shenzhen (SZX) is the Busiest Domestic Route in China in November 2025 with 654k seats, with capacity increased by 11% compared to November 2024, which is the fastest growing route in the top 10.
- Beijing (PEK) to Shanghai Hongqiao (SHA) is in second place with 640k seats, a 1% increase on last year.
- The third busiest route is Guangzhou Baiyun (CAN) to Shanghai Hongqiao (SHA) with 561k seats, which is an increase of 4% in capacity compared to the same month last year.
- All the top three routes continue to involve Shanghai Hongqiao Airport (SHA), underlining its central role in China’s domestic air network.
- Three routes in the top 10 are down capacity compared to November 2024, namely Beijing (PEK) to Shenzhen (SZX), Guangzhou (CAN) to Beijing (PEK) and Chengdu (CTU) to Shenzhen (SZX), all of which are down 2% on last year.
USA'S TOP 10 BUSIEST DOMESTIC AIRLINE ROUTES | november 2025
KEY POINTS
- In November 2025, the transcontinental route between New York (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX) is the USA’s Busiest Domestic Route with 301k seats, a 10% increase in capacity compared to November 2024.
- New York La Guardia (LGA) to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) route moved down one position to the second busiest route when compared to last month’s ranking, with 298k seats planned for this month.
- Los Angeles (LAX) to San Francisco (SFO) is in third place this month with 274k seats, which is a 11% decline in capacity compared to the same month last year.
- Las Vegas (LAS) to Los Angeles (LAX) (5th) and Honolulu (HNL) to Kahului (OGG) (ninth) have both seen the biggest drop in capacity compared to November 2024, with the two routes down by 14%.
BUSIEST INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE ROUTES | November 2025
KEY POINTS
- In November 2025, Hong Kong (HKG) to Taipei (TPE) remains the Busiest International Route Globally with 527k seats, however it has experienced an 8% decline in capacity compared to the same month last year.
- Cairo (CAI) to Jeddah (JED) is in second place with 469k seats
- Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to Singapore Changi (SIN) is in third place with 447k seats.
- The ninth busiest route, Hong Kong (HKG) to Manila (MNL) with 324k seats has seen the largest growth rate in the top 10, adding 22% more seats this month compared November 2024.
- Jakarta (CGK) to Singapore Changi (SIN) has seen second largest growth rate in capacity, growing 15% year on year and is in seventh place with 366k seats.
- Seoul Incheon (ICN) to Tokyo Narita (NRT) has seen the biggest drop in capacity in the top 10 with seats decreasing by 12% compared to last year and this route is in fifth place.
- In total, the Asia Pacific region continues to dominate the Top 10 international busiest routes, with eight routes. There is also one route within the Middle East and one linking Africa to the Middle East.
- Hong Kong (HKG) appears three times in the top 10, which is more than any other airport, followed by Seoul Incheon (ICN), Tokyo Narita (NRT), Singapore Changi (SIN) and Taipei (TPE) which all appear twice in the top 10.

The busiest air routes are defined as those with the largest volume of scheduled airline seats in the current calendar month. Data is for flights in both directions on each route and is sourced from OAG Schedules Analyser in the first week of each month. The data reflects the most recent full calendar month for the busiest scheduled domestic and international aviation routes in each category.
