      Q4 2022 Release Notes - Flight Info Direct

      Emissions

      Overview

      This release sees an improvement to the Emissions model factoring in new actual Fuel Burn data to improve the accuracy of Fuel Burn and CO2 in both the Schedules and Status Emissions views.

      The first release for Schedules Emissions was the 7th November Load (LOAD_DATE ='2022-11-07').

      The Status Emissions data was updated on 20th October 2022.

      Schedules History

      Overview

      This release sees the addition of historical data in Schedules Direct now offering data back to the beginning of 2019.

      Detail

      Given the nature of historical data, there are some data points that are not fully available in the historical data. The table below details those fields as well as pertinent historical information. The full list of fields available in Schedules Direct can be found here

       
      Field Name History Detail
      FILE_DATE

      The additional data available in Schedules Direct has been loaded at the weekly (Monday) level. As such the file_date column does not contain every date back to the beginning of 2019.

      The earliest file_date is now 2018-12-31 which covers flights starting on 2019-01-01.

      The weekly file_date cadence starts with 2019-12-31 and ends on 2020-03-23.

      The daily file_date cadence begins on 2020-03-30. 
      EQUIPMENT_CODE_ICAO This data is available from the 2019-06-03 file_date. Before this date this field is empty.
      MEALS This data is available from the 2019-06-03 file_date. Before this date this field is empty.
      INFLTSERVICE This data is available from the 2019-06-03 file_date. Before this date this field is empty.
      SECUREFLT This data is available from the 2019-06-03 file_date. Before this date this field is empty.
      PREMIUM_ECONOMY_CLASS_SEATS This data is available from the 2019-06-03 file_date. Before this date this field is empty.
      ECONOMY_PLUS_CLASS_SEATS This data is available from the 2021-04-02 file_date. Before this date this field is empty.
      FLTNO Flight numbers in this field will not have leading zeros, where requested by the carrier,  in file_date's before 2019-06-03 (e.g. BA059 will be displayed as BA59 in 2019-05-27 file_date and as BA059 in 2019-06-03 file_date).
