Q2 2024 Release Notes - Flight Info Direct

Status Direct - Recovery Leg Data

Overview

This release sees recovery leg data being made available in Status Direct with two additional supporting fields

Detail

Diversion flight data is already available but we are now showing, and tying this together with, the corresponding recovery leg. We are introducing 2 new data points as part of this release:

  • ORIGINAL_STATUS_KEY - Status key of the originally diverted flight. This appears only for recovery flight records. This value can be searched for in the STATUS_KEY column to identify the diverted flight.
  • IRREGULAR_OPERATION_TYPE - Irregular operation type that indicates if the flight record is a diversion or recovery flight. Will have values of “Diversion” or “Recovery” or null for any other flight.

All the standard data points that are populated on the diverted flight, will be populated on the recovery flight record also.

Features

  • This data is available from 11th June 2024.

Status Direct - Scheduled Departure/Arrival UTC

Overview

This release sees the addition of two fields showing the scheduled departure and arrival times in UTC.

Detail

The addition of these fields means customer no longer have to convert the scheduled departure and arrival times into UTC. The two new fields added are:

  • SCHEDULED_DEPARTURE_DATE_TIME_UTC – The scheduled departure date and time in UTC format.
  • SCHEDULED_ARRIVAL_DATE_TIME_UTC – The scheduled arrival date and time in UTC format.

Features

  •  This data is available in flights from 2019-01-01

Status Direct - Scheduled Aircraft IATA/ICAO

Overview

This release sees the addition of two fields that show the scheduled IATA aircraft and the scheduled ICAO aircraft.

Detail

Currently Status Direct shows the actual aircraft used based on the tail number but sometimes that data is not available. To ensure an aircraft value is available we are now showing both the IATA and ICAO codes for the scheduled aircraft - this can be especially useful if wanting to filter out certain aircraft.

  • SCHEDULED_AIRCRAFT_TYPE_IATA – the IATA aircraft code supplied in the planned schedule for the operation.
  • SCHEDULED_AIRCRAFT_TYPE_ICAO – the IATA aircraft code supplied in the planned schedule for the operation.

Features

  • This data is available in flights from 2019-01-01

Status Direct - Service Type enhancement

Overview

This enhancement increases the coverage and accuracy of the service type field

Detail

We are now populating the service type from the planned schedule to increase the coverage and accuracy of this value. This field is useful to filter out certain types of operations e.g. I want only want to see passenger operations. For more information on service type click here

Features

  • This enhancement is applied to flights effective from 2019-01-01
