Diverted/Recovery Flights Handling in Flight Info API
Overview
We are pleased to announce the release of the Diverted/Recovery flights handling feature in the Flight Info API.
Detail
Diverted Flights:- Status messages for diverted flights are now included under the original flight.
- Additional information in status messages includes:
- Irregular operation type: Diverted
- Diversion type: Possible values include Undefined, Unplanned, InAirReturn, TechnicalStop.
- The flight arrival airport/country in status messages changes to the diversion airport/country. Please note that queries are still based on the scheduled arrival airport. Consequently, arrival gate, terminal, and baggage information might also change based on the new information received.
Recovery flights:
- When a recovery flight occurs, it is created as an unscheduled flight. Additional information includes:
- Irregular operation type: Recovery
- A link to the original scheduled flight is included.
These data points have been automatically added and are available now.

Flight Info API now has a new Single Direct Flight endpoint

The new Single Direct Flight endpoint enables you to retrieve a specific flight schedule by instance key and departure date.
