Future opportunities emerging

Much of the recent coverage of African aviation has focused on other areas prone to negativity but in an attempt to refocus awareness, OAG's latest report looks at the northwest African market and specifically Morocco, where there appears to be many positives.

Since 2012, capacity to and from Morocco has increased by nearly 25% to 22.4 million seats to and from the country. The future looks bright for its two major airports, Casablanca and Marrakech too who account for nearly three-quarters of all scheduled capacity.

It is with this progress that Casablanca has emerged as an effective hub between Europe and West Africa in recent years. This report takes a closer look at how Casablanca may indeed be a next-generation hub.
