Bangkok airports re-open
December 3, 2008
Flights have started to resume from Bangkok airports today after anti-government protesters agreed to end their occupation.
International flights are due to re-start tomorrow (Thursday).
The protests, which shut down Thailand's two main airports for over a week, have come to an end following a court ruling to force the Prime Minister to step down.
Thailand's Constitutional Court ordered the governing People Power Party and two of its coalition partners to be dissolved after finding them guilty of election fraud.
The parties' leaders were also barred from politics for five years.
The 250,000 stranded passengers will now be allowed to return home.
