Life Saver by Mario Hardy - OAG Vice President Asia Pacific
April 23, 2009
My MacBook Air and my mobile phone are as precious as gold; they contain 1000’s of hours of work and invaluable contacts necessary for my daily work in the office and when I travel. Losing them would have the same effect as loosing $1 Million at the casino. I have now equipped both of my devices with security location software from a Singapore base company called BAK2U.
These little geniuses at BAK2U have created security software that works on most internet base devices and mobile phones. If you lose or get your mobile stolen, the next time someone tries to insert their SIM card, an alert will be sent by SMS in the background to people of your choice about the location of your mobile and the phone number of the person holding it.
On a MAC or PC the software is even cleverer. It will capture a video footage of the person holding it through the built-in camera and if connected to the web, send an email to your friends or family with the video and a map showing the location of it anywhere in the world.
The short story is; I can now travel with piece of mind that should anything happen I have a chance to recuperate my most precious travel tools.
The guys at BAK2U know that I’m a great fan and have agreed to offer a special 30% discount to all OAG readers; simply follow this link: http://www.bak2u.com/oag.php
