Business/Social Hints:Women should wear modest clothes in Muslim areas. A headscarf is recommended. Business is conducted in French, very few executives speak English. Care should be taken to respect local conventions. Muslim customs do not encourage smoking and drinking. Using the right and not the left hand when passing or receiving food or gifts. Not showing soles of the feet when seated. Segregation of women. Visits during Ramadan should be avoided. On social occasions dress as for business meetings unless otherwise indicated.
