JETMART, THE INDUSTRY BAROMETER FOR AIRCRAFT TRANSACTIONS AND FLEET AVAILABILITY, REACHES A 20 YEAR MILESTONE.

22 January 2009

Economic volatility is pushing up demand for unbiased insight, says OAG

JetMart, the aircraft availability and transactions report compiled from OAG’s proprietary fleet database and used by aircraft lessors, financiers and purchasers to track all commercial jet aircraft transactions and identify business opportunities, celebrates 20 years of publication this month, according to its publisher OAG (Official Airline Guide, www.oagaviation.com). Today’s volatile economy is pushing up demand for a reliable and up-to-date source of aircraft availability information; JetMart is meeting that need by providing a topical insight into market conditions for aircraft trading.

JetMart is updated and published monthly in two sections for ease of use. The Transactions section lists all commercial jet aircraft transactions recorded from the previous month, with a summary of transactions as they happen.  The Availability section lists all commercial jet aircraft known to be on the market for sale, lease and foreclosure as of the date of publication. Both sections contain summary and detailed data as well as 12-month aircraft availability trends. JetMart is supported by a quarterly update of average sale and lease rates. All the information is unbiased, and OAG has no financial interest in any aircraft transaction.

The aircraft availability and transactions information published in JetMart is then incorporated into OAG’s proprietary FLEET database, one of the world’s most comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date aircraft fleet reference source of its kind.  FLEET contains detailed accounting of every commercial aircraft currently in service, storage, or on order to enter the marketplace, and the entire life history of every commercial jet aircraft built.

  1. JetMart is a monthly update to OAG’s Commercial Jet Fleets directory to keep aviation planners up to date and informed of fleet changes and new orders between quarterly issues of the directory.

John Weber, Managing Director - OAG Aviation, said:
“OAG now offers aviation business planners a one-stop shop for market intelligence in every economic sector:  assets (fleets), supply, demand, and carrier performance.  OAG’s FLEET database is the cornerstone of our view on aircraft assets, and is an invaluable reference source for trends in fleet orders, development, replacement or retirements. We are committed to ensuring that it remains the most reliable source of market intelligence available.  For two decades JetMart has enabled aviation planners, lessors and financiers to find their way through the maze of constantly changing information. We are delighted and proud to recognise this 20 year milestone.”

JetMart is available from OAG by subscription.  More information is available at www.oagaviation.com/reports.html or by calling OAG Customer Services on 888-589-6340 or at custcare@oagaviation.com.

PropMart, a similar publication for the world’s prop (regional) aircraft, is also available.
