- Over 3,800 flights planned to take off in the UK today
- Almost 3% of all today’s planned flights from UK are transatlantic
- More than 6m people forecast to travel from London Heathrow in August

Worldwide, airlines had planned to operate 81,958 scheduled flights today, offering the equivalent of some 9.5 million seats.
More than 650 flights were scheduled to depart today from London Heathrow, one of the world’s busiest airports. Of these, 76 (11 per cent) were destined for a US airport.
Of the 59 airports in the UK, 9 operate transatlantic flights.
