12 July 2004
OAG, the independent global content management company, today announced the launch of a new Japanese edition of the OAG Rail Guide. This new handy-sized publication contains comprehensive rail schedules throughout Great Britain with Japanese editorial and commentary.
This Japanese edition of the OAG Rail Guide is aimed specifically at Japanese business and leisure travellers working in or visiting the UK. The guide will contain comprehensive rail information for London and the South East and all intercity rail timetables for England, Scotland and Wales.
The schedules themselves will remain in English and for ease of reference the editorial content is in Japanese and contains destination information specifically aimed at the Japanese traveller.
Additional information includes a glossary of English rail terms explained in Japanese, information on how to make reservations, important phone numbers, airport rail link maps and bus services to cities not served by rail.
Stephen Bray, Managing Director OAG Europe commented:
“ We are delighted to be launching a Japanese edition of the OAG Rail Guide. We believe this meets a growing need in the Japanese travel market for a comprehensive guide to the rail network in Great Britain for Japanese travellers visiting or working in the UK.”
The guide is available now and is priced at £112.
