OAG Launches Internet FlightFinder™ Service for Airports

28 January 2004

OAG, the world’s leading independent source of flight schedule information, today introduced OAG FlightFinder™- a new service which will allow airports to provide daily, updated airline schedules on their Website.

Developed to assist airports in providing online flight schedule information to consumers, OAG has created 3,500 FlightFinder™ search engines, one for each of the world’s major airports.  FlightFinder™ draws from the unrivalled OAG database, which includes more than 1.5 million flight records from over 930 airlines worldwide.

Duncan Alexander, MD OAG data commented:

“OAG realizes the value of keeping consumers up-to-date with the most accurate schedules information and strives to enable our clients to do the same. FlightFinder™ will enable airports around the world to offer their customers access to daily updated schedules.

FlightFinder seamlessly integrates with an airport Website and allows customers to view direct and connecting flights from any airport. For airports with limited marketing funds, FlightFinder™ bridges the gap, providing a simple, cost-effective service with the convenience of an online solution. For airports who want a more advanced offering, OAG has created FlightFinder Plus™ which offers a branded look, additional sort options and greater functionality.

“FlightFinder Plus™ allowed us to keep the distinctive look of the Manchester Website,” said Max Wahid of Manchester Airport.  “In addition, the accuracy of flight information with daily updates was critical for Manchester to maintain its competitive edge by enabling customers to easily view the destinations we serve.”
