OAG Launches Executive Flight Guide in Japanese
10 March 2004
OAG, the world’s leading source of independent flight schedule information, today announced the launch of a Japanese edition of its Executive Flight Guide - a new addition to its popular series of pocket sized regional flight guides.
This pocket sized guide is the first ever dual language (Japanese/English) product to feature comprehensive schedules for international flights to/from Japan as well as Japanese domestic flights.
The Executive Flight Guide will allow customers to look up all direct and connecting flights, terminal information and diagrams, minimum connecting times, airline reservation numbers as well as other useful travel information. Customers will receive an updated copy every month. As an added level of service, users will automatically become members of OAG club and where they will be able to access a variety of travel tips and support information.
The OAG Executive Flight Guide Japan was developed in recognition that there was an absence of a combined Japanese and English language travel planning guide in a market that plays a pivotal role in the Asian and global economic environment. OAG estimates that around 18 million people travel internationally from Japan each year and around 86 million people travel domestically.
Lynne Fraser, PR director for OAG commented:
“Asia Pacific is a region of growing importance in the global economy and Japan is a major player within this arena. OAG’s unrivalled database of flight schedule information has allowed us to create a product uniquely targeted towards this important market. We are confident that Japanese business travellers will find the quick and easy access to travel content in the Executive Flight Guide immensely useful.”
OAG Executive Flight Guide will be available from March 2004. In the UK the guide will be priced at £79 for an annual subscription. In Japan the guide can be purchased from over 500 book shops at an introductory price of Y11,000 for an annual subscription.
