Shift Technician

To monitor and control the operation of equipment within the Computer Room environment on a shift rota basis, so as to enable services and output targets to be met at agreed levels to system users and customers.

To provide high quality first level support to the continuously available OAG Worldwide computer infrastructure encompassing hardware, software and internal users

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience of Unix Operating Systems & Tivoli Software
  • Experience of working with in a service centre environment providing first and second level support
  • Experience of server hardware
  • Experience in desktop support and the provision of a helpdesk service. using a fault tracking system e.g. ServiceDesk Plus
  • Experience of working with customers either face to face or on the telephone
