OAG, the world’s leading source of independent flight schedule information, today announced further expansion into the Asia Pacific region with the opening of a new office in Beijing and the launch of the OAG Executive Flight Guide China. The opening of the Beijing office is in addition to OAG’s existing offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo and is dedicated to creating awareness of OAG and its suite of products within China. OAG’s increased investment in the Asia Pacific region is in recognition of its enormous economic growth, illustrated by major increases in airline traffic to the region. Asia is the number one growth area for the airline industry as demonstrated in the last OAG Quarterly Report. The report shows an 8% growth year on year in flight levels for the region and 4% in flights to and from China.* OAG has responded by developing products specific to the Asia region and a network of local offices. The OAG Executive Flight Guide China is a new product specifically designed for individuals or companies trading or expanding into China. It will be the only printed monthly flight schedule guide available in the China region and will contain the most up to date information from over 90 airlines- including all major Chinese carriers. This pocket sized, dual language (Chinese/English) guide features comprehensive schedules for flights to/from China and the Asia Pacific region as well as Chinese domestic flights. The Executive Flight Guide will allow customers to look up all direct and connecting flights, terminal information, minimum connecting times, airline reservation numbers and a whole host of other useful travel information. Subscribers will receive an updated copy every month. Fred Seow, Vice President of OAG Asia Pacific commented: “Our continued expansion in the Asia Pacific region, the opening of our new Beijing office and roll out of new products specifically for this market is in recognition of the growing importance of the region in the global economy. Intensive research of travel patterns within China, conducted by OAG, has shown a real need for accurate, comprehensive schedules data. Our unparalleled database means we are uniquely placed to meet this need.” OAG Executive Flight Guide is available from this month and costs US$98 for an annual subscription.
