-
A traveler's passport indicates which country he is a citizen of, but does not give him a right to enter any country.
-
A visa is a permit or approval to travel to a different country. It's issued or given by a consulate when they have checked on the potential traveler.
-
Not all countries require visas for all travelers from other countries.
-
Visa applications can take up to a month before the visa is issued or approved.
-
When visas are issued by countries engaged in conflict, two passports may be needed.

Health Information is divided into three sections:

Compulsory Vaccination: The traveler must have a certificate indicating he or she has had an injection - been vaccinated - for a disease such as yellow fever.
Recommended Immunization: Which diseases are endemic or prevalent in the country with recommendations that he or she take precautions against these diseases, both before and during the trip.
Health Risks: OAG Travel Planner shows regions where particular diseases might be caught. A traveler may contract a disease - such as rabies - that he cannot take any precautions against.
Time
-
Almost all the travel industry uses the 24 hour clock where 11.15 p.m. is shown as 2315.
-
In the USA and Canada, the times of air, train and bus services are shown as a.m. and p.m.
-
Check whether websites with travel information use the 24 hour clock or a.m. and p.m.
-
All arrival and departure times are shown in local time - the time shown on the clock in the countries where the flights and trains depart or arrive.
