In what is being claimed as a first for the airline industry, Silverjet is to reward companies with a free flight for every 10 booked for employees. The all-Business class carrier's new loyalty scheme – the Silverjet Set – is aimed at small and medium-sized companies, who were asked to identify the most common complaints of existing loyalty schemes. Rather than operating a system of accumulative points, which are assigned to the individual flyer, free flights are awarded to the business and can be taken by any employee. In addition to rewarding loyal organisations with complimentary flights, the programme also provides the means to book, track, report on, manage and change flight bookings. Each company that registers for the scheme will enjoy a dedicated support team, while regular travellers are able to build up and store individual profiles and preferences. Says Lawrence Hunt, Silverjet's CEO: "We wanted to create a loyalty programme that rewards our regular business travellers while delivering real benefits to the bottom line. By joining the Silverjet Set, not only will employees enjoy their travel experience and arrive at their destination ready to do business, but companies will also benefit by receiving substantial savings on flights, time and resources." Silverjet operates a twice-daily service between London Luton and New York Newark, and daily flights between Luton and Dubai – the only all-Business Class carrier to operate a non-transatlantic route. *There is still time to take advantage of savings of 20% on Business Class tickets to New York and Dubai which are being offered by Silverjet in a sale that lasts until the end of January. Available on selected flights at prices from £879, including taxes, they carry no minimum stay restrictions.
