For company CEOs or simply the well-heeled, a Memorable Melbourne’ package, featuring two nights’ accommodation in the newly refurbished Presidential suite at the city’s Langham Hotel, is on offer until the end of the year.
Priced at an eye-watering A$16,300 (US$11,700) plus tax, for two, it includes a wide range of special activities, many in the company of Melbourne-based celebrities. These include a half-day cookery course with top chef Michael Lambie, from the Taxi Dining-Room (The Age Good Food Guide’s Restaurant of the Year 2006), plus a working lunch and dinner that evening at the restaurant in Federation Square, and a half-day personal shopping expedition with Melbourne style guru and TV host Cindy Sargon.
In addition to butler-served breakfasts, a specially prepared dinner for two will also be laid on one evening in the suite. And as a final touch, a BMW 7 series limousine and chauffeur will be at the couple's disposal for the duration of their stay, including airport transfers.
