TIP OF THE WEEK:

Identify all routes, passenger and cargo operated by a network carrier.

Example: We will produce a report that shows all different routes that will be served by Korean during week commencing 09 October 2006.

Start setting up your query using the yellow query filters:

Carrier Airline Code(s)

AIRLINE folder
All Flights (excluding surface) SERVICE folder
Operating Flights Only CODE SHARE Folder
Week Commencing Date(s) PERIOD folder
   

Now select the following fields as Results Objects.

Departure Airport Code             

DEPARTURE FROM folder
Arrival Airport Code ARRIVAL TO folder
Passenger/Cargo Indicator SERVICE folder

Your screen should look like the image below (click on the chart to view a larger image)

Click here to view larger image

Click on Run Query and select ‘KE’ as the ‘Airline Code’.  Then select the week that you wish to conduct the analysis, for example, 2006-10-09.

Now click OK to run the report. 

The results show all passenger and cargo routes operated by Korean for the week commencing 09 October 2006

Now follow the steps below to identify the actual number of links:

Step 1 Click into the data contained within the ‘Passenger/Cargo Indicator’ column.

Step 2 – Now select the Insert/Remove Break icon that is displayed in the top toolbar.

The results will now be grouped by passenger or cargo operation.

Step 3 – Customise your report as the image below using the ‘Properties’ tab. (click on the chart to view a larger image)

Step 4 – Now click again into the data contained within the ‘Passenger/Cargo Indicator’ column.

Step 5 – Using the Properties tab once more, select the ‘Break Properties’ sub option that is available when you click on the following icon.  This is positioned on the left hand side of the screen, as shown in the image below.

Step 6 – Uncheck the ‘tick’ from the ‘Remove Duplicates’ option.
