Identify all routes with one or more stops available from a specific airport.

Example: We will produce a list all flights with one or more stops, that depart Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

Start setting up your query using the yellow query filters:

Departure Airport Code DEPARTURE FROM folder
All Flights (excluding surface) SERVICE folder
Operating Flights Only  CODE SHARE Folder
Week Commencing Date(s)  PERIOD folder
Stopping Flights Only ROUTING folder

Now select the following fields as Results Objects.

Departure Airport Code DEPARTURE FROM folder
Arrival Airport Code ARRIVAL TO folder
Number of Stops ROUTING folder
Routing Airport Codes ROUTING folder
Intermediate Airport Codes ROUTING folder

Your screen should look like the image below (click on the chart to view larger image):

Click on Run Query and select ‘AMS’ as the ‘Departing Airport Code'. Then select the week that you wish to examine e.g. 2006-08-14.
Now Click OK to run the report.

The table that is produced shows all routes available from AMS with one or more stops, by arrival airport and specific routing.

Following the steps below, you can sort the results in descending or ascending order, based on the available number of stops.

Step 1 – Click into the data contained within the ‘Number of Stops’ column.
Step 2 – Now select the ‘Ascending or Descending’ option that is available from the drop down menu next to the A-Z icon. This is displayed in the top toolbar.

Did you know that you can compare load factors across several carriers?*

Click on the ‘ICAO Analysis’ link on the home page of OAG MAX. This will open up the ‘ICAO Analysis’ query tool. Start building your query using the following ‘Query Filters’ (yellow icons) that can be found in the ‘Air Carrier Traffic’ folder.

Carrier Name
International/Dom/Other
Year

Now select the following fields as Results Objects (blue cubes/purple spheres) from the ‘Air Carrier Traffic’ folder.

Carrier Long Name
Year
Passenger Load Factor

Following the steps above, your query should match the format shown in the image below (click on the chart to view larger image):

Click on Run Query and select ‘SIA'**, 'CATHAY PACIFIC', 'MALAYSIAN AIRLINES' & 'THAI AIRWAYS'’ as your ‘Carrier Name(s)', ‘International’ as your ‘Flight Stage Type’ and finally ‘2005’ as the ‘Year’.

** Once you type ‘SIA’ in the search box, please scroll down until you find the carrier in the list.

Now Click OK to run the report. MAX Online will display the load factors achieved by these four carriers for their international flights in 2005.
