TIP OF THE WEEK:

Discover an airline’s planned seat deployment by arrival region.

Example: Identify how much capacity a carrier is offering out of its main hub to the various regions around the world.

Start setting up your query using the yellow query filters:

Now select the following fields as Results Objects.

Click on ‘Run Query’ and select a carrier code e.g. SQ, a departing airport code (SIN) and a week commencing date (2006-06-12).

Click OK to run the report.

The report shows the airline’s seat deployment out of SIN by arrival region.

Once you have run the report, click on the data that is contained within the ‘total number of seats’ column and then select the descending option that is available in the drop down menu next to the A to Z icon in the ‘Report toolbar’.

OAG MAX Online will now rank the data in descending order showing the region for which Singapore Airlines is offering the highest number of seats.

Did you know that Adria Airways is a Star Alliance Regional member? Are you familiar and up-to-date with all alliance groupings?

Just build a new query using ‘Alliance’ (AIRLINE folder) as your ‘query filter’ (yellow icon) and then select as a ‘Results Objects’ Carrier Airline Name (AIRLINE folder).

Click on ‘Run Query’ and select the specific alliance you wish to examine. 

OAG MAX Online will display the list of carriers that are members of the alliance of your choice.
