How to produce an analysis based on Elapsed Time.

Example: Identify all non-stop flights with a duration of more than 12 hours.

Start setting up your query using the yellow query filters:

Now select the following fields as Results Objects.

Click on Run Query and enter a week commencing date.  Where you are prompted to enter the Lower Limit for the Elapsed Time, please enter 12:00 making sure you include the semicolon.  For the Upper Limit, please enter 24:00.  The values should be entered in the following format HH:MM.

Click OK to run the report.

The report shows the volume of flights and routes served by carrier and by aircraft type whose elapsed time is 12 hours or above.

Once you have run the report, click on the data that is contained within the Elapsed Time (hh:mm) column and then select the descending option that is available in the drop down menu next to the A to Z icon in the Report toolbar

OAG MAX Online will now rank the data by elapsed time in descending order (longest to shortest duration).

Example:  How to determine an airport’s bank structure of departing flights in a day, broken down by hourly frequencies using our Airport Activity Reports.

From the OAG MAX home page click on Airport Reports within the MAX Reports section.  Expand the Airport Reports menu by clicking on the plus ‘+’ symbol.  Now expand the list to view the Airport Activity Reports option.  In the same fashion expand the Departures option.  Click on the 24 Hour Activity link (there is no need to expand this menu).

The link to the MAX A35 Airport Activity - Daily Departures  will be displayed.

Follow the on-screen prompts.

Step 1: Enter the Departure Airport Code of your choice (e.g. MUC)

Step 2: Select the Calendar Date (e.g.  2006-05-22)

The results, which are displayed in both tabular and graphical format, show busy and slack periods within a day for that airport.
