Analyse Singapore Changi airport based on the weekly number of available flights by aircraft type. Start setting up your query using the yellow query filters;
Now select the following variables as your Results Objects.
Your screen should look like the image below:
Click on Run Query and select ‘SIN’ as your Departure Airport Code(s) option. Select the week that you wish to run the analysis for, e.g. ‘2008-01-14’. Now click OK to run the report. Your report displays the number of flights offered out of Singapore Changi airport by aircraft name during week commencing 14 January 2008.
Now take the following steps to find out the number of different types of aircraft operated by all airlines out of SIN. Step 1 – Click into the data within the Specific Aircraft Name column.
The number of aircraft types is displayed at the bottom of the table. In the case of SIN, for w/c 14 January 2008, 40 different aircraft types will be utilised at the airport. Now follow the steps below to identify which is the most frequently used aircraft type at SIN: Step 1 – Click within the Frequency column. Step 2 – Rank the Frequency data in descending order by selecting the Z-A sub option from the Apply/Remove sort button on the top toolbar as shown in the image below.
The results of the schedules analysis show that the most frequently used aircraft at Singapore Changi airport are the Boeing 777-200 Passenger and the Airbus Industrie A320 with 428 and 383 weekly departures respectively. Step 3 - Customise the report as in the example below using the options from the ‘Properties’ tab.
