Identify the number of departing flights from the State of California. Example: . Start setting up your query using the yellow query filters:
Now select the following fields as Results Objects.

Click on Run Query and select ‘CALIFORNIA’ as your ‘Departure State Name(s)’ and ‘2006-12-18’ as your preferred week. Now click ‘OK’ to run the report. The table shows all departing flights from the State of California for the week commencing 18 December 2006 by operating carrier.
Now follow the steps below to analyse the results further: Step 1 – Click within the data contained in the ‘Frequency’ column and rank the results using the tabs below to identify which airline offers the highest number of flights out of California.
Step 2 – Click on the ‘Insert Sum’ option on the Report toolbar and then select the ‘Percentage’ option from the sub-menu as shown in the image below.
The following screenshot shows the results of the query after having incorporated Steps 1 and 2 above.
United Airlines followed by Southwest and American Airlines are the carriers with the highest number of flights out of California for the specified week in December. Upon further customisation using the ‘Properties’ tab, your query could potentially have the following look & feel:
