TIP OF THE WEEK:

Identify all flights departing from any airport worldwide with a Traffic Restriction

Start setting up your query using the yellow query filters:

Departure Airport Code(s)

DEPARTURE FROM folder
All Flights (excluding surface) SERVICE folder
Operating Flights Only     CODE SHARE folder
Week Commencing Date(s)     PERIOD folder
Restricted Sectors Only RESTRICTIONS folder

Now select the following fields as Results Objects.

Carrier Airline Code

AIRLINE folder
Carrier Flight Number   AIRLINE folder
Departure Airport Code   DEPARTURE FROM folder
Arrival Airport Code   ARRIVAL TO folder
Routing Airport Codes    ROUTING folder
Traffic Restriction Definition  RESTRICTIONS folder

Your screen should look like the image below:

Click on Run Query and select ‘MEL’ as your ‘Departure Airport Code(s)’ and ‘2006-12-04’ as your preferred week.

Now click ‘OK’ to run the report.

The results of the query will only now show the flights that have traffic restrictions.  This is an easy way to identify and then eliminate volume of flights and available capacity that should be treated with caution when you analyse specific segments.

You can customise the report using the ‘Properties’ option so that it appears as in the image below:
