Click on Run Query and select “AMSTERDAM” , “DUSSELDORF INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT”, “FRANKFURT INTERNATIONAL APT” and “ROTTERDAM APT” (in UPPER case) as the “T/F Airport Name” and ‘200609’ , ‘200610’ and ‘200611’ as the ‘Year & Month Number’.
Now Click OK to run the report.
The results show the total number of seats by airport and month.
Using the following steps we will create a table that will enable us to easily compare the total number of seats each of the above four airports offers in the months we have selected.
Step 1 – Click into the data contained within the ‘Year & Month Number’ column.
Step 2 – Drag this column to the top of the table so that the long blue rectangle appears indicating that the cross tab will be created as shown below.

The results table (image below) shows a month on month capacity trend with the airports listed in alphabetical order

Click on the ‘ICAO Analysis’ link on the home page of OAG MAX. This will open up the ‘ICAO Analysis’ query tool.
Start setting up your query using the following ‘Query Filters’ (yellow icons) that can be found in the ‘Airport Traffic folder’.
Airport Name
Year
Now select the following fields as Results Objects (blue cubes/purple spheres) from the ‘Airport Traffic folder’.
Airport Name
Period
Total Number of Passengers
The image below shows what your query should look like once you have completed the above process

Click on Run Query and select “AMSTERDAM - SCHIPOL” , “DUSSELDORF”, “FRANKFURT INTL”, “ROTTERDAM” (in UPPER case) as the “Airport Name” and ‘2005’ as the ‘Year’.
Now Click OK to run the report. MAX Online will display the monthly passenger traffic for these four airports as shown in the screenshot below

We are now going to modify the table to allows us to compare the total number of passengers of each of the four airports.
Step 1 – Click in the ‘Period’ field to highlight the column.
Step 2 – Drag the ‘Period’ column to the top of the table. A long blue rectangle will appear to indicate that the cross-tab will be applied. Please refer to the image below

Step 3 – Release the mouse button and the table will now display the month names as the columns and the airport names as the rows.
Step 4 – Use the quick filter in the toolbar and select “Month 09 September 2005”, “Month 10 October 2005” and “Month 11 November 2005” by holding the ‘Ctrl’ or ‘Shift’ keys whilst clicking on each value.
The final table will be displayed as below showing the total number of passengers for the months of September, October and November 2005.
