NEW ENHANCEMENTS TO THE OAG MAX DATABASE

In response to your feedback we have made some important changes to the database.

In the ‘ROUTING’ folder you can now include the ‘Total Number of Stops’ as an additional variable in your analysis.  This will enable you to aggregate the number of stops made by a carrier on a specific route(s) over a period of time.

In the ‘DISTANCE’ folder the following variables have been added (blue objects): Statute Miles Direct, Nautical Miles Direct, Kilometres Direct, as well as, Statute Miles Summed, Nautical Miles Summed, Kilometres Summed.  These blue objects enable you to identify the unique direct and summed distance between two or more points in all three measures.  Furthermore, we have introduced the aggregate versions of the above measures (purple spheres) which can be found as e.g. Total Statute Miles Direct.

Most significantly perhaps, is the introduction of five new filters in the ‘RESTRICTIONS’ folder.  These are: Exclude All Restricted Sectors, Restricted Sectors Only, Exclude General Restrictions, Exclude Stopover/Connx Sectors and Exclude Subject to Govt Approval

As a reminder, in case you are not familiar with all the codes and definitions for traffic restrictions, run a query using MAX Online that contains only the Traffic Restriction Code and Definition (blue objects) as shown in MAX Bytes Issue 6 which can be found on www.oagmax.com in the link called “OAG MAX Updates”.

MAX Schedules Data Update
Check the Arrivals and Departures sections of this newsletter to identify the number of carriers and locations that have been added or removed from the MAX Online database this week.

ICAO Traffic Data Update
This week the Air Carrier Traffic and Airport Traffic modules include additional data for the following airlines and airports:

  • 38 Carriers for August 2006 and 12 for September 2006
  • 44 Airports for July 2006 and 9 for August 2006

The database no longer contains schedules data between 01 and 30 October 2006.  Please be cautious if your queries are based on the whole month of October 2006.

If you need to conduct an analysis for the entire month of November 2006, please run your queries now.

If you would like a live demonstration of either our MAX Analysis or ICAO Analysis products, please feel free to contact us for a ‘one to one’ FREE WebEx session.
